| in the last three years (since January 2003), this website has tried to timely and thoroughly inform about the events and developments related to the UN World Summit on the Information Society. Now, after the second summit conference in November 2005, the summit process has ended, and the post-WSIS era has started. This site will not be actively maintained anymore, but will stay available as a source of information.
The positive reception by our readers encourages us and makes us believe that the contribution by the Heinrich Böll Foundation to the success of this unique summit was worth the effort and will be followed up by many commited persons. My laud and thanks go to all who have contributed to editing this site - especially to Ralf Bendrath and Arne Hintz, who are the authors behind most of the articles and contributions on this site. With a lot of personal dedication both as agents and as chroniclers, they have provided an especially attractive account of the process through this website. Olga Drossou |
